FAQ

How much does the Driller class cost?
Driller costs 5,000 Cores, the same band as Tank, Gunslinger, Mechanic and Bruiser. Its Level 4 team bonus gates at 5,000,000 m of career total depth.
Why is Driller considered the best class?
Because drill power is the resource that actually ends runs. A 30-player server already has damage; what it runs out of is the ability to break the boss wall before fuel or time expires. Driller also starts you with a free Ultra Drill, which is normally a 1,000-Coin Legendary upgrade.
What does Driller Level 2 give you?
Level 2 starts you with one Ultra Drill upgrade. Ultra Drill adds +1 stacking damage for every hit while you drill nonstop, and it normally costs 1,000 Coins in the shop — so Driller is handing you a Legendary card for free every run.
How do I unlock Driller Level 2 and 3?
Level 2 requires destroying 1,000 walls and dealing 3,000 wall damage in a single hit. Level 3 requires 10,000 walls destroyed and 5,000 damage in a single hit. Little and Large Walls appear every 700 m to 1 km, so the wall count builds quickly on long runs.
What is Driller Level 3?
When your fuel drops below 10%, Driller gains +100% drill power. That turns a desperate situation — nearly empty tank on a boss wall — into your strongest window, which is exactly when the drill needs it most.

What Driller actually does

Driller costs 5,000 Cores and it is the class you buy to stop runs failing at the wall.

The reasoning is simple once you look at the numbers. Boss wall HP runs from 100 in the Grass Layer to 500,000 before the 100 km mark and 5,000,000 at the Heart of the Earth. No amount of combat damage keeps pace with that curve — a 30-player server already supplies damage. What teams run out of is drill power and fuel, and Driller attacks the first of those directly.

The full HP table is on the layers page.

Level by level

Level Unlock What changes
1 5,000 Cores +50% Drill Power
2 Destroy 1,000 walls, deal 3,000 wall damage in one hit Start each run with 1 Ultra Drill upgrade
3 Destroy 10,000 walls, deal 5,000 wall damage in one hit Below 10% fuel, gain +100% Drill Power
4 5,000,000 m career total depth Team bonus: +25% Drill Power for the whole server

The free Ultra Drill is the real prize

Level 2 is where Driller stops being a flat percentage and starts being a build.

Ultra Drill is a Legendary drill upgrade that adds +1 stacking damage for every hit while you drill nonstop. In the shop it starts at 1,000 Coins and rises by 200 per purchase. Driller hands you one for free at the start of every run.

That matters because Ultra Drill is one of the three cards that actually breaks boss walls. The combo:

  1. RPM Overclock (Epic, 500 Coins) makes the drill hit more often, so Ultra Drill stacks faster.
  2. Ultra Drill turns those hits into permanent stacking damage for the wall.
  3. Power Burst (Epic, 500 Coins) multiplies whatever has accumulated during a 5-second window.

Driller gives you step two for nothing. That is why the class compounds: you spend the Coins you saved on the other two cards instead.

Level 3 turns a crisis into your best window

Below 10% fuel, Driller gains +100% drill power. On its own that reads like a consolation prize. In practice it is the opposite.

The worst moments in a run are the ones where the tank is nearly dry and the boss wall is still standing — the Void Clay Wall Boss at 17,000 m empties your fuel on arrival, and every long boss fight burns through a tank. Driller’s Level 3 makes those exact moments its strongest, effectively doubling the damage you deal during the last stretch of fuel.

It pairs well with the Money Drill upgrade too, which pays +10 Coins per wall broken — and a deeper run breaks a lot of walls.

Hitting the requirements

Both gates are wall-damage tasks:

  • Level 2: 1,000 walls destroyed, 3,000 wall damage in a single hit.
  • Level 3: 10,000 walls destroyed, 5,000 wall damage in a single hit.

Little Walls and Large Walls appear every 700 m to 1 km, so the count climbs fast on long runs. The single-hit numbers are the harder half — they want upgraded drill power and a crit from Mega Drill rather than a long grind.

Level 4 gates at 5,000,000 m of career total depth, the same gate as Tank, Gunslinger, Mechanic and Bruiser.

Where Driller fits

Buy Driller when your runs are ending because the wall outlasts the fuel. Buy Reaper instead when your runs are ending because people die in dungeon rooms — those are the two honest failure modes, and they need different classes.
